Well, now, there is a solution for those who don’t like QWERT keyboard layout. There is a customizable computer keyboard for you which is called DX1 keyboard.

“These keys are like blank tapes,” said Pankaj Garg, a software architect at Mountain View, Calif.-based Ergodex, which developed the product. “You can make them whatever you want them to be.”

You can, for example, assign the keys sets of macros for complex and repetitive software commands in any application that uses a keyboard for input. That includes video editing, word processing and graphics packages, as well as games, e-mail programs and Web browsers. What’s more, you can easily juggle from macros in one application to macros in another. Toggle between Photoshop, Excel and “Counter-Strike,”

When we talk about keyboard layout, we will think about QWERTY keyboard layout which was invented by Christopher Sholes 1868. Why, because we are trained to use QWERTY keyboards without any questionings. About 15 years ago, I still remembered that I had to paid for attending typing classes to learn how to use QWERTY keyboard without asking why each key has be to arranged in this specific layout.

Right now, with more and more PDA cellular phones with QWERTY keyboards released into the market, it is the right time to justify whether we should stat with QWERTY keyboard forever as typing on the small keyboard on a PDA Phone doesn’t really work well because of limited space.

Please leave your comment below if you think QWERTY keyboard do or doesn’t work well on small limited space environment such as on PDA or cellular phone.

However, the computer keyboard that we are going to introduce to you and which is shown in the picture above could easily scare you away.

What you see on top is a real “computer keyboard” although it looks more like a robot controlling device than a computer keyboard. The scary keyboard above is designed and developed by DataHand Systems to help people avoid hand strains and injuries for long hours typing.

DataHand Systems claims that her Ergonomic keyboard helps reduce finger travel by 88%, eliminates need to visually establish home-rom hand position, 80% less repetitious than any other computer keyboards on the market and etc.

The group’s mission is to awaken the public and get them to seriously think about the precious keyboard real estate that is so unfairly utilized by the (nearly) worthless uppercasing shortcut.

As the Internet’s most comprehensive website that covers news and reviews about keyboards, Compkeyboard.com website insists that that although we seldom use the Caps Key in our regular typing activity, we should not remove the Caps Key unless we can find a more suitable key to replace this key which is in very good position on QWERTY keyboard design.
