There are actually more than just the QWERTY keyboard and the Dvorak keyboard, but none of them were considered a big enough improvement on the QWERTY to make the changeover. Besides, once everyone had learnt to type well on the QWERTY, it would make a full-scale changeover very difficult.

The computer keyboard comes from the typewriter. There are two different types of layouts for it. One is the QWERTY and the other is Dvorak.

I am very questioned about why the keyboard layout is arranged like that,
is that the inventor's random arrangement or is he fallowed any algorithm or the analysis to arrange the keys,
If you know the answer please post the ,message.

[...] When we talk about keyboard layout, we will think about QWERTY keyboard layout which was invented by Christopher Sholes 1868. Why, because we are trained to use QWERTY keyboards without any questionings. About 15 years ago, I still remembered that I had to paid for attending typing classes to learn how to use QWERTY keyboard without asking why each key has be to arranged in this specific layout.
